Really good service and fast honest which are unfortunately is rare in the mattress business. We are very happy with our beds there are liked them a lot more for the price than other places. It's out of our way in Norwalk, we live in Ansonia, but we would definitely go there again. Hopefully we don't have to for a long, long time.

Do not understand good reviews for this store. We left a $1000 deposit and Anthony made an appointment to come to our condo to verify mattress fitment. We canceled dinner plans to be home for this. He was a no show nd did not even call to let us know he was not coming. He left a voicemail the next day with lame excuses about leaving the store early and something about not being able to phone. Be warned. Maybe the previous reviews were friends and family. Update today 2/25/2019. I went in to the store this morning to return a mattress cover that was a gift for our order. Since we were canceling we wanted to return this in good faith. Beware, when I entered the store a large black dog approached with no attendant in sight. Scary. I immediately left the mattress cover inside near the front door and hurriedly exited as the dog appeared aggressive. I am allergic to dogs. Beware if you go to this store. Should a dog be left unattended in a store?. 2/27/19. The owner Jeff called and offered a refund or discount. We took the refund as we do not trust the salesperson and his poor reaction to his own mistakes. We feel the salesperson should not profit from his errors and nasty attitude.

This is the ONLY place we will now go for mattresses. This is a family owned store that's been in business for many many years, all of staff are incredible knowledgeable & are not pushy salespeople but honestly want you to get the best mattress. We purchased a mattress from them and one of the owners, Jeff, helped us. My husband loved the mattress but it ended up being too hard for me. Jeff came to our house to remedy the situation & couldn't not have been nicer. He suggested a few different options and said if it didn't feel better after a couple more weeks he'd take it back. This is best, most professional mattress store - honest, reputable- don't waste your time @ Mattress Firm or Sleepys! This place is AWESOME!

I just spoke with Jeff and had a challenge-I needed a full size mattress and box spring set similar to Beautyrest and I needed it delivered by Saturday! The mattress I selected isn't in stock but I needed something for a 90 year old who is arriving on Saturday. Jeff offered to send something over to get her through till the other mattress came in. What a lifesaver!! He totally worked with me and thought out of the box and ended up making me one happy customer. I highly recommend this Mom and Pop shop!

We found Sleep Etc originally when our chiropractor highly recommended them. Their knowledge and service is way beyond the usual mattress and furniture store sales level. Almost four years after purchasing a king mattress/box spring from them we decided we wanted a firmer mattress and contacted them. Jeff, one of the owners, personally visited our home, checked out the set-up, and recommended a firm "topper" that would achieve the desired result without the expense of a new mattress. He offered to let us try it out for several nights which we did and we were 100% satisfied. Jeff and Anthony are pros that take pride in their business and it shows. Go nowhere else. I know we won't.

Excellent experience and customer service at Sleep, Etc. Friendly and knowledgeable sales help. Needed an inexpensive, short term bed, and was directed to the perfect bed, at a very reasonable price. Was amazed that it was delivered the very next day with a free frame and free set-up and delivery. Arrived just as promised, and on time, with professional delivery. In the store were high end beds made in Sweden, that looked heavenly; perhaps one day! Highly recommend purchasing a bed here.

having moved from NYC to CT in Feb 2014, I knew I wanted our new bed to be a King size Organic Latex mattress. I did a ton of research on what to get and went to every location in CT that sells what I was looking for. Sleep Etc not only was offering the best price for the higher quality Mattress, but, Andre and Jeff provided genuine high quality customer service. Friendly with just the right amount of sales attention without being pushy. Andre was never inconvenienced by the 1000's of question I had and was available each and every time I or my husband came in to lay on all the choices. Jeff and I communicated via email and his accessibility was unparalleled. He responded quickly and with no attitude and most importantly with TONS of detailed information about the products and exactly where they came from down to the molecule. It's now over ONE YEAR since we got our heavenly King size organic Latex "Dreamscape Terra Bed"! After a few months of sleeping on it, my friend asked me about it and he and his wife came down from W. Hartford to Sleep Etc. and they got the same bed. The bed has reduced my body pain and both my husband and I agree our favorite place to be in sleeping in our divine bed! What tops off its perfection are the stone washed Belgian Linen sheets we got. I feel a little guilty that other people I know don't have or know this Sheer perfection!

I was in the market for 3 beds. I had already visited the Sleep Number store, Macys, all of the online vendors when I found Sleep Etc (THANKS TO YELP!!). I went in on a Sunday afternoon and Brian was my sales associate. He was INCREDIBLE! He helped me find 3 mattresses that were very comfortable for me and WITHIN BUDGET!! He was honest with me through out the entire process and patiently answered all of my questions. The beauty of this store, is that they have been around for awhile and have, over time, observed the quality of all the mattress lines and sell only the best to their customers!! My delivery: The guys thankfully brought frames with them (I had forgotten to purchase these before hand... YIKES!!). They were on time, courteous, neat, and FAST!! I have to say, if I ever need to purchase another mattress, this is the ONLY place I will go to. I HIGHLY recommend Sleep Etc to anyone looking for a quality mattress, fair pricing, and great service!!!!!!!

I have been dreading shopping for a new Mattress after our last experience 10+ years ago. But yesterday my husband and I ran over to purchase a replacement to our current mattress and were beyond impressed with the quality of the mattresses offered but more importantly the exceptional customer service that Anthony provided. Our mattress gets delivered in a few days and we can't wait to sleep on it. We were in and out of the store in about 30 minutes.

After our experience I can truly say that Jeff, Anthony,Paul and the entire Team at Sleep Etc are amazing. My Husband and I bought a mattress and bed frame from Sleep etc in April of 2010. After about 6 months the bed started to cave in the center. We placed only one phone call to Paul in the Stamford location and within a week we had a new mattress. Several months later we had the same problem. My husband has back problems so we knew we had to make the call over to Sleep Etc to see what could be done.They sent out their guys right away to see what the problem was. After a bit of research by Anthony we figured out that our platform bed was not the support system that we needed.In addition, the mattress we had purchased was not right for us either. Anthony met with my husband to discuss different options for us. He came up with a plan to get a low profile box spring to fit into our platform bed. Which would maintain the sleek look of the bed while providing more support for us. He also suggested a mattress which would better suit our needs. They new bed and box spring was delivered last week and has made such a difference! They did all this 100% FREE! No additional cost to us. This is what customer service is all about. In addition their delivery guys (who have been out our apartment four times) are great! Very knowledgeable and professional! True definition of customer service is what Sleep Etc. is all about. I was referred to Sleep Etc. through a friend who highly recommended me and I'm glad I went. I find shopping for a mattress difficult and Anthony and the team were more than helpful. I did not like the first mattress that I chose, so they helped me select a different one and exchanged it out for me with no additional charges. As a matter of fact, I didn't like the second one, the third one either. I didn't want to go back and tell them I didn't like the mattresses, but I did b/c of the poor sleep I was experiencing. Each and every time, Anthony was very helpful and wanted to make sure that I loved whatever mattress I decided to go with. I highly recommend this store for both their selection and the amazing customer service that you will receive.

My husband and I stopped in to the "sleep etc." in Stamford on High Ridge Road on Saturday. We were looking for pillows and walked out with a new mattress! Brian, the store manager, was great. He spent a lot of time with us and worked within our budget. He was honest and straight forward. If something happens to your mattress within your warranty period, you call them directly...not an 800#! We've been married for 35 years and have bought several mattresses. This has been, by far, the best experience we've ever had! Thank you, Brian!!

I don't usually write reviews on yelp. (Actually this is my first time!) But I feel like I had to share this experience this time! We bought a Carpe Diem Bed from Sleep Etc., and both their service and product are truly exceptional. If you know anything about the Carpe Diem beds, you would know that it is not a easy purchase to make regarding the price. However, Jeff and Andre helped us through the entire journey: from making the decision to the delivery of the bed. Even the delivery guys were very nice! (It was very different from my uncomfortable experience with the Macy's mattress delivery guys) It has been 3 weeks since I started sleeping on a Carpe Diem bed, and I think this is one of the best purchase I made in my entire life. Before, I had a serious back pain every morning, but now my mornings are way better. The back pain comes back from time to time during the day depending on my situation. However, it significantly got better, making me want to spread the word about this bed. (that is actually how I found about it in first place) Even you are considering to purchase something other than the Cape Diem beds, I don't think you will be disappointed with their great assortment of products and services. Bought 2 mattresses today and had a great experience. The price was excellent, I got some extras thrown in and most importantly, did not feel like I was dealing with a used at salesman. I'd definitely recommend buying from Jeff.

Not Dux but in same class, go for the Carpe Diem and you'll quickly realize there is life without pain in the back, shoulders, etc. This will of course cause you much pain in the bank account!

(I posted this on another forum but also wanted to share it here. It's also something I pretty much said in a recent phone call to Sleep Etc. owner Jeff Klein, whom I've never personally met.) Seven years ago we bought a natural latex mattress with a phenomenal topper at Ergo in Southern Ca. It was a great bed ... until the wool topper started to wear out. I noticed I was (for years!) increasingly not sleeping well. We then moved to Connecticut and toyed with buying a new topper to replace the old. It would have been nearly $1000. THEN we started shopping. We tried a natural latex bed from another local manufacturer, but couldn't get it just right. We shopped around at higher end stores and got close to going the Kluft route, but after going the alternative route with the latex -- it just didn't feel right. (at the time we were in the $3,000 to $6000 category.) THEN... on a lark we stumbled into the Sleep Etc store in Stamford. Paul the manager showed us what he had. Nothing seemed to interest us. THEN... he suggested we try the Carpe Diem, which were WAY out of our price range. (Turns out they're the national distributor.) We have never looked back. I realize buying a bed is highly personal. Some people like foam, latex and/or air. We bought the Carpe Diem and at the age of 59 I can tell you that for the past three months (enough time to know!) my wife and I have never slept better. This is, without a doubt, THE BEST bed I have ever slept in. Period. Nothing comes close. Best part: I'm sleeping through the night again! It sounds totally corny and promotinal, but it's true. I have not slept this well in years. Very little tossing and turning. Somehow they removed all levels of pressure. I justified the price by reminding myself i spend 6-7 hours a night in the bed and it'll likely be the last bed I ever buy. I'll have to replace the topper, but ... it's the quality of sleep that counts. The worst part about this bed: I hate to get out of it in the morning. I'm not in any way associated with Sleep Etc. or Carpe Diem. I'm just a guy who has shopped for beds for years. I consider myself an educated mattress shopper. Like many of you (us) we experienced failures with traditional beds as the qaulity started to deteriorate. (One too many Sterns & Fosters!) We're so sold on this bed that we recently replaced an older traditional bed in our guest room with ... a Carpe Diem from Sleep Etc. Just couldn't bring ourselves to buy anything else. Lots of money, but worth it. My prediction is that Carpe Diem and premium beds, in general, will increasingly capture a larger chunk of the bedding market, mostly by world-of-mouth. Happy shopping!
